Saddiq Ali (co-owner of Baahir Imports and Muslimatic University, located in the Bronzeville.), has been at the forefront of "Pushing Prayer and Peace on Purpose" primarily in Parkway Gardens aka "O-Block", as well as other challenged communities across the U.S. including Philidelphia, Baltimore and Seattle. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Saddiq was shaped by the guidance of remarkable teachers and leaders who inspired his deep commitment to uplifting his community. With a strong focus on youth empowerment and violence prevention, Saddiq draws from his own experiences to connect with young men navigating the same streets he once did. His mission is grounded in prayer, purpose, and peace, especially in neighborhoods often overlooked, such as "O-Block". Alongside his brothers in Islam, he has helped introduce the deen in transformative ways, supporting spiritual growth, mental healing, and community unity. Through grassroots outreach and generous fundraising efforts, Saddiq has led initiatives to take brothers on life-changing pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia. He has also traveled across the country, from Chicago to cities nationwide, bringing people together through purposeful prayer and dawah. Whether guiding someone to their shahada or honoring a janazah, Saddiq’s work reflects an unshakable bond of Islamic brotherhood. For him, this mission is lifelong and eternal, rooted in gratitude, guided by purpose, and always striving to please Allah.
